Most Sacramento State students have grown up with some form of the Japanese culture seeping into their lives, unknowingly or not. "The Ninja Turtles," "Shogun" and the classic California sushi roll are all familiar to the average non-Japanese student. (0) comments

May is here, and that means that it is time again for graduation. But before you get ready to walk, there are things that must be done, and a few other things that are just for fun and for the sake of memories. Graduation means the end of schooling and heading into the job market, and finding a job that you both went to school for and love can be nerve-wracking. (0) comments

Eric Hutchinson's lyrics are well written and understandable. The music he creates with his acoustic guitar is infectious-it'll make you want to air guitar while listening to his album "Sounds Like This." The album is groovy and kind of sounds like the blues, but will definitely put you in a happy mood with the mellow strumming of Hutchinson's guitar. (1) comment

With all their music being created from an accordion, an upright bass, a guit-jo, a bedpandolin, and their three harmonies, The Loose Acoustic Trio is a very talented band. The band is from Sacramento, Calif. and is made up of three men: Richie Lawrence (accordion), Ken Cooper (guit-jo, bedpandolin) and Steve O'Neill (upright bass). (0) comments
Carolina Liar's debut album "Coming to Terms" sounds like the perfect soundtrack for MTV's "The Hills." Maybe that's why the show has already featured some of the band's songs. (0) comments
Last year in May I remember seeing "Spider-Man 3" and being so utterly disappointed that I could not even admit it to myself. I was so stoked to see Venom and Sandman and there was so much ridiculous hype. Then I saw it and it was complete garbage. But this isn't about "Spider-Man 3," it's about a different Marvel comic book franchise. (0) comments
As a reviewer, I get one ticket so that I can watch the movie I need to review. I received my ticket for "Made of Honor" on Thursday, drove to the theater and sat, by myself, for what is a quintessential date movie. Of course, not everybody in the theater was on a date, but no dateless person was a man. (0) comments

College is a prime time for dating. For many Sacramento State students, it is the first time on their own. Most of us have jobs, apartments and responsibilities. And with all these grown up aspects of our lives, big-girl dating should come, too.
But dating can be stressful. What should you wear? Do you skip straight to dinner or start slow with meeting for coffee or lunch? And do you mention your ex over several shots of Jagermeister?
