Men's golf currently in fourth place at Bill Cullum Invitational

After two rounds of golf Monday, the Sacramento State men's team is near the top of the leader board at fourth place.
After two rounds of the Bill Cullum Invitational in Simi Valley, Calif., the men combined a score of 590, 16 strokes behind first place University of California, Santa Barbara.
Sophomore Grant Norton led the way for the Hornets with 36-hole score of 144, good enough for ninth place overall. Norton is closely followed by junior Jeremy Harris, who shot a personal best 67 in the first round of play but followed it up with an 81 on the second round for a first day total of 148. Harris is currently 21st individually and second on the team.
Junior Scott DeBorba shot a 74 and 76 for his first two rounds with junior Cody Miller close on his tail, finishing just two shots behind with a first day total of 152.
Brad Carricho rounded out the Hornet golfers with a score of 160, and is currently tied for 72nd place.
At the top of the individual leader board is UCSB golfer Michael Casca with a score of 139. There are many golfers close behind, including Norton who is five strokes back. The 15-team tournament will conclude on Tuesday with a final round of 18 holes to decide the winner.
