President calls for student-designated parking
Associated Students Inc. President Christina Romero is looking at available options to create student-only parking for Sacramento State's Parking Structure II and III, located at the east and south of the University Union.
Romero said student parking permits cost substantially more than faculty parking permits. She also said student fees were primarily used for the construction of Parking Structure III. Romero is working with the California Faculty Association and the Sac State administration to research the issue.
MBA fee, increase possibility
Master of Business Administration fees might increase to $210 per semester. Secretary of State Affairs Roberto Torres and Graduate Director Jensen Kile are researching the increase. To do so, Torres said they sent various emails to MBA students to get their opinions.
"Most students are either against the increase or want more information," Torres said.
The increase could lead to better faculty for MBA students, Torres said.
Addition of lights on fields to be researched
The fields behind Yosemite Hall may soon have lights, said Kevin Chun, director of Health and Human Services. Chun is creating a task force that would research the possibility of building lights.
He said the lights could benefit intramural sport teams that wished to play at night.
"It's just an idea to explore," he said.
These items, along with others, will be voted on next Wednesday at ASI's board meeting.
