Some of many plans she discussed during her speech include:
•Making ASI's public image more visible and transparent by promoting an environment-friendly and sustainable campus
•Promoting ASI advancement and collaborations through events such as Day in the Quad
•Holding events that help ASI reach out and connect with students, such as Coffee and Conversation, Day in the Quad, President's Roundtable, Turkey Bowl and Field Day
ASI is also looking to make an impact statewide through lobbying for a freeze on student fees.
"Something (ASI) really, really believes in is access to higher education," Romero said.
Romero plans to give another student address during the Spring 2008 semester when she will discuss plans for the 2008-09 academic year.
